"Nature in the City, Nature in Life"
Open to artists of all styles, French or foreign, La Biennale des Arts de Sainte-Maxime aims to encourage artistic creation. Under the aegis of the Municipality and its cultural service, two "GRAND PRIX DE LA BIENNALE DES ARTS DE SAINTE-MAXIME" will be awarded, one on a free theme and one on a chosen theme.
The theme chosen for the 2021 edition, in direct continuity of the exhibition "Ecorces: une galerie d'art à ciel ouvert", will be "Nature en Ville, Nature en Vie". The awards will be presented during the opening of the exhibition on Friday, April 30 at 6:30 pm, in the Jean Portal room.
> The Laureate of the theme 2021 will be awarded a medal by the City of Sainte-Maxime and the opportunity to exhibit two weeks in the Jean Portal room in 2022. The award-winning painting will be exhibited at the Jehanne Arnaud Media Library in Sainte-Maxime at the end of the biennial exhibition, from May 20 to June 21, 2021.
> The Laureate of the Open Theme will be awarded a medal by the City of Sainte-Maxime and the opportunity to exhibit two weeks in the Jean Portal Hall in 2022. The works must be original and signed by their authors.
They will be made on all types of support and all plastic techniques are accepted.
- Oil or related techniques (acrylic, alkides, etc.)
- Water painting (watercolour, drawing, pastel etc.)
- Drawing (pencil, charcoal, india ink, etc.)
- Engravings, sculptures, lithographs, digital creations, etc.
