Miriam Gaité lives and works at the Plan-de-la-Tour. Drawing since her earliest childhood and attracted by interior architecture, it is quite naturally that she moves towards the applied arts.
She will discover different techniques of drawing, perspective and technical rigor of graphics. But it was his encounter with Jacques Gatti that led him to take an interest in painting. At her side, she sharpens her sense of color and her attention to matter and light, favouring technical mastery over the originality of the subject. With time, his passion for painting was confirmed, and making it his job became obvious.
His figurative style contrasts academic pictorial techniques with the codes of urban graphics to better intensify the chromatic rendering of his canvases. The classical basis of his works, ensured by the mastery of the tracing and the tangling of the brush, is indeed disturbed by the spraying of the spray paint, to a certain extent random. The drips, the effects of transparency and the liveliness of the tints, revive the initial drawing in an effusion of more artificial colors, if not electric. Associated with a job Scrupulous of the light, they participate in giving its subjects a surplus of vitality and to inscribe them in a dreamlike representation of the real, almost hallucinated. A universe in full "bloom" to discover.
