Humor : Waly Dia One hour to kill
Cultural ( Artistic performance )
Waly Dia shakes up current events and minds: a hard-hitting, funny and committed one-man show where punchlines and improvisation fly relentlessly.
Spending an hour killing time with Waly Dia guarantees you won't be bored! The stand-up comedian, who found success with "Ensemble ou rien" (Together or Nothing), offers us a scathing show about Macronism, the "Flemingists," and the elites. All delivered with a sharp sense of political humor and lightning-fast comebacks.
In the art of the one-man show, Waly Dia is instantly recognizable for his sharp, biting punchlines and rapid-fire delivery. Having cut his teeth at France Inter radio and the Jamel Comedy Club, and later in film and television, this public agitator has mastered not only the art of improvisation but also that of writing. He possesses a knack for sensing the zeitgeist, listening to the voices of his fellow citizens, and digesting current events to fuel his scathing remarks. The formula has proven successful, and his latest show, "Une heure à tuer" (An Hour to Kill), is playing to sold-out audiences everywhere! With the maturity of his stage, he has moved from anger to energy and the construction of a deeply committed narrative: in "Une heure à tuer," he imagines a takeover by atheists, representing 51% of the French population, silent and invisible according to him… except when he becomes their voice.
