On this International Dance Day, Le Pagnol cinema and the Médiathèque are hosting a special event focusing on the figure of Pina BAUSH.
After celebrating "Pina" in 2019 with the film by Wim Wenders, a new cinematic look at the portrait of a choreographic trait that is still unequalled in the history of dance.
THE FILM: DANCING PINA (2022)
Young dancers, guided by former members of Pina Bausch's Tanztheater, revisit her legendary choreographies. For these artists, with backgrounds in contemporary dance, hip-hop and classical ballet, dancing Pina means questioning their limits and desires, and metamorphosing a work while allowing themselves to be metamorphosed by it.

The Heathcote Williams poem Whale Nation serves as the basis for the 2023 French documentary directed by Jean-Albert Lièvre. An isolated coastline was recently visited by a humpback whale.
