Garou’s career began with The Intouchables. In 1997, during a show, producer and lyricist Luc Plamendon is struck by the presence and voice of the singer, in whom he sees a performer of choice for his musical, Notre-Dame de Paris. By winning the role of Quasimodo alongside Hélène Ségara, Patrick Fiori and Daniel Lavoie, the singer triumphs!
In 2000, the artist released his first solo album, Seul, and multiplied projects with great names in French music (Pascal Obispo, Zazie, Céline Dion,…) and imposed himself success after success as a must in pop-pop songs.rock, with albums in both French and English.
In addition to his solo career, he joined other artists and gave his voice to the albums "Ensemble contre le Sida" and "2000 et un enfants". For several years, Garou has also been a recurring member of the Enfoirés troupe. In another vein, you were able to follow him as a coach on the TV show "The voice, the most beautiful voice" in France and "La Voix" in Quebec. In 2018 and 2019, he presents the program "Destination Eurovision" on France 2.
On the occasion of the release of his 10th album, which resumes his greatest hits revisited, up to the classics of soul music, Garou pays tribute to the essentials of this music that made the legend of the Motown label.
While remembering his twenty years of career, the festive soul that we know him will hang unfailingly on this series of concerts specially conceived in a spirit of summer. An exceptional date not to be missed at the Théâtre de la Mer in Sainte-Maxime, an open-air stage and unique setting for a remarkable artist.
