Fête de la Saint-Pierre

Traditions and folklore ( Pilgrimage and procession - Religious celebration - Traditional festival )

A tribute to the maritime world, with its traditions, fervour and festivities!

Join us for an evening of sardinade and guinguette under the Sainte-Maxime sunset.

By tradition, our local fishermen will be honouring Saint-Pierre, the Patron Saint of fishermen, on 29 June. To end the evening on a tasty note, there's nothing better than a Sardinade accompanied by the famous "guinguette" evening!

Provisional programme:
6.30pm: mass in the church
7pm: procession through the old town centre from the church to the harbourmaster's office
7.45pm: procession at sea and blessing of the boats
8.15pm: resumption of the procession from the Harbour Master's Office to the Aire des Magnoti
8.30pm: Traditional dances by the Leï Magnoti folk group and lighting of the "Pointu" on the Luc Provensal beach (town centre).
9pm: Sardinade "Guinguette" evening on the Promenade Simon-Lorière
