Saint-Jean's Day

Traditional feast to celebrate the beginning of summer.

Originally a pagan feast, it was celebrated before the birth of Christ among the first Slavic peoples to bless the harvest. This feast was then Christianized and today is celebrated throughout the world on June 24, a few days before the summer solstice, to celebrate, thanks to the fires of Saint Jean, the light of summer.

Opening Wednesday 24 June at 9 pm.
