Saint-Peter's Day

Traditional feast day to celebrate the fishermen patron saint.

This traditional Provençal festival is an opportunity to honour the Patron Saint of fishermen, to maintain the local traditions attached to this trade and to highlight the ancestral customs of sea workers.

On the programme:
6pm: Mass in the Church
7pm: procession in the old center from the Church to the pier of the Capitainerie
7.45pm: procession at sea and blessing of boats
8.15pm: resumption of the procession from the Capitainerie to the Aire des Magnoti
8.30pm: traditional dances by the folklore group Leï Magnoti and the boat blaze on the beach of the city centre, followed by a large sardinade offered and proposed by the fishing prud'homie and the town of Sainte-Maxime
9.30 pm: Ball at the Théâtre de la Mer
