Located at the port of Sainte-Maxime, Bateau École Maximois offers expertise in boating training, providing clients with a wide range of courses along the beautiful French Riviera. Our fully renovated facilities (opened in 2026) house a team with over 25 years' experience and a passion for all things nautical, offering a warm, friendly and reliable service. If you want to obtain a coastal, inland waterways or offshore licence, you've come to the right place.
But what sets these three licences apart?

The coastal licence allows you to operate a motorboat or personal watercraft and navigate at sea up to six nautical miles (approximately 11 kilometres) from the coast.
- Inland Waterways Licence: allows you to navigate rivers, canals and lakes.
- Offshore licence: an extension of the coastal licence that lets you navigate at sea with no distance limits.

We also offer other services, such as:
- Coaching sessions on our school boat or your own boat to improve your sea navigation skills
- Boat delivery/transfer
- Boat rental
- Maintenance, management and sale of your vessels.
