Discovery Route - Contemporary Architecture and Heritage

Discover a new walk in the town of Sainte-Maxime !

Labelled Architecture Remarquable, Sainte-Maxime is full of treasures that are right in front of our eyes, but that we don’t always see !
We invite you to stroll through our charming city centre streets, following the suggested steps in our brochure "Contemporary Architecture and Heritage of Sainte-Maxime", your best ally in this pedestrian adventure.

Pay attention and look up, details are often found in the sky !

The Discovery Route

It is made up of 26 stages and takes about 1.5 hours to complete.
Accessible to all, we recommend that you wear comfortable shoes, bring a bottle of water and, for the summer season, the headgear of your choice !
A few "bonus" stages are proposed on the outskirts of the town centre, in the direction of La Nartelle and on the theme of celebrities who have marked the history of Sainte-Maxime.

The good plan

At the end of the brochure, you will find a map of the city so that you can easily find your way at each stage of this self-guided tour.

The buildings and architectural curiosities you will discover on this route are a real treat for the eyes. If you are passionate about photography, amateur or professional, armed with a camera or a smartphone, don’t hesitate to share your best shots with us on our social networks.

Our opinion

When heritage and photography meet, it is always a beautiful story...

We like to illustrate these architectural curiosities of this city that we love so much, by taking photos and videos. Like a canvas in an exhibition, these edifying buildings will arouse in each of us an emotion, a sensitivity, or a different vision.

This perception, which is unique to each of us, leads us to find a different angle from one person to another through the eye of a lens. If you are passionate (and especially very curious) like us, we invite you to share YOUR vision of things on our social networks with the #saintemaximepatrimoine.

Post some of your shots, we can’t wait to see all the ways you capture a single subject. Can’t you ?
