*Beata Virgine* is a program of Renaissance sacred music performed by Les Voix Animées, bringing together six a cappella voices to explore the work of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina.

At the heart of the program is the *Missa de Beata Virgine*—a six-voice paraphrase mass inspired by Gregorian themes and dedicated to the Virgin Mary—which epitomizes the Marian devotion of the post-Tridentine era at the Sistine Chapel. It is accompanied by motets by Tomás Luis de Victoria, a disciple of Palestrina, set to texts from the Song of Songs. Through this repertoire of great spiritual and musical richness, Les Voix Animées offer an immersion into one of the most accomplished expressions of Renaissance polyphony.
