Description
The latest production by Les 7 Doigts is just like their previous works: breathtaking!
Both in the air and on the ground, the artists of this Quebec circus company pass memories from one body to another within a shifting space where dance, circus, and memory intertwine.
Since 2002, they have been touring the globe and are among the most prolific ambassadors of Quebec’s contemporary circus. Following works such as *Réversible*, *Traces*, and *Passagers*, the company continues to push the boundaries of its art, explore every possibility within its disciplines, and expand its vocabulary through a subtle blend of acrobatics and theatricality. In short, they love to reinvent themselves—much to our delight! Directed by former trapeze artist and ringmaster Shana Carroll, its latest production, *The Attic*—playfully subtitled *The Things I Saw While Lying on My Back*—transports us within the walls of the attic bedroom from her childhood, transformed into a shifting space. There, the walls expand, the beams become a playground, straddling reality and imagination, past and desire. Eras intertwine… It’s impossible to resist the sensitive evocation of a life lived to the fullest, still hungry for movement, in scenes each more virtuosic than the last. The acts follow one another, sublime, without ever losing their keen dramatic sense: the secret to Les 7 Doigts’ success lies here, in the blend of beauty, virtuosity, and storytelling.
