Description
Clovis Cornillac delightfully slips into this romantic comedy with its unique, intimate, and slapstick atmosphere, featuring striking visuals and authentic dialogue.
The chemistry is perfect, brought to life by the pace and the excellence of the performances.
Written by screenwriter and actress Lilou Fogli, *Mur Mure* is skillfully directed by Jérémie Lippman, playing on the contrast between the depth of the themes explored and the lightheartedness of the humor. On one hand, there is the love story between two colorful characters who are polar opposites: Clovis Cornillac as a zany, misanthropic inventor who dreams of absolute silence, and Judith El Zein as a talented pianist moving out on her own for the first time. And so they become neighbors… On the other hand, a medley of misunderstandings and situations bordering on the absurd and the unexpected that highlight the complexity of their emotions. Balancing beautifully between tenderness, melancholy, and latent tension, the comedy skillfully uses theatrical devices—notably the set, with its paper walls and revolving stage—to explore all the nuances of human and romantic relationships. The audience is immediately drawn into this romantic fantasy, which gives full meaning to the expression “love is blind”!
