Sustainable accommodation providers are committed to reducing their environmental impact whilst ensuring a high standard of hospitality for visitors. Through the responsible management of water and energy, waste reduction, the promotion of local produce and raising travellers’ awareness of eco-friendly practices, these establishments play an active role in promoting more sustainable tourism.

The Green Key label

The Clef Verte label is now the leading sustainable tourism label for tourist accommodation and restaurants in France. It recognises establishments committed to a rigorous and practical environmental approach, based on specific criteria relating to ecology, resource management and social responsibility.

In Sainte-Maxime, several establishments hold the Clef Verte label, demonstrating the destination’s commitment to tourism that is more respectful of the environment and the exceptional natural setting of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
