Our commitment as part of the ‘Destination of Excellence’ initiative

This new label, which replaced the ‘Qualité Tourisme’ mark in May 2024, aims to raise quality standards across the entire tourism sector: accommodation, catering, visitor attractions and leisure facilities, transport, and tourist information centres.

Beyond the requirement for a warm welcome and high-quality services – values that already guide our day-to-day work – this initiative reinforces our commitment to environmental responsibility, promoting a form of tourism that is more respectful of our region and its exceptional natural environment.

A destination of excellence

Your Tourist Information Centre classified as Category 1

Category 1 classification for Tourist Offices represents the highest level of recognition and quality awarded by the French Ministry of Tourism. This distinction is based on stringent criteria that assess the excellence of the services provided.

The Sainte-Maxime Tourist Office, which has held Category 1 status since 2015 and had its accreditation renewed on 10 October 2025, perfectly exemplifies this commitment to excellence. It establishes Sainte-Maxime as a leading destination, driven by a Tourist Office that provides exemplary hospitality, personalised support and an effective communication and promotion strategy aimed at visitors, local residents and tourism professionals.
