The Deffend Trail | Saint Maxime

Set off on this lovely walk in the hills above Sainte-Maxime! The reward for your efforts? A 360° view: from the Estérel Mountains to the Maures Mountains, taking in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Weather permitting, you might even catch a glimpse of the Roquebrune rock and the Alps.

A 360-degree panoramic view

Park at the junction of a small tarmac road and the DFCI track leading uphill between the Figuière Féré neighbourhood and Les Saquèdes. It’s time to put on your trainers!

Walk at your own pace to the orientation table to enjoy an unobstructed, panoramic view of the entire bay of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, as well as the Var hinterland and the Massif des Maures. Amidst oak trees and mimosas, this is your chance to appreciate the vastness and richness of our region, both by the sea and inland.

Free car park (space for around 15 cars). Park at the junction of a small tarmac road and the DFCI track leading uphill in the Les Saquèdes neighbourhood.

A signposted trail forming a loop (the return route is different from the outward route)
Please remember to bring a bag to dispose of any rubbish (picnic leftovers, cigarette ends, etc.). Nature is precious; please help to preserve it.
It is strongly recommended that you wear walking shoes or sturdy trainers.
